Mark's Software
These packages currently run under Linux and come with full source code.
- Symbol Table Library
This library allows a program to export variables to be accessable
to the user, allows passing data over a network connection, and allows
saving data to files in a format which is both human and machine readable
and restoring it.
- Child Process Library
This library allows a program to spawn a number of child processes
such as preforked web server processes. A safer and more flexible
replacement for system() and pipe() is also included.
- manyterm
This program allows more than one terminal (telnet session) to
share a single process (such as a shell).
- Stepper Motor Driver
I have written a 3 axis stepper motor driver, imlemented as
a loadable kernel module.
- A driver for the CoStar LabelWriter XL
and compatible label printers.
- A
device driver for the DAS1600 data acquisition card.
-
srec9s12 is a srecord conversion and download
utility for the MC9S12DP256 microcontroller.
-
annotate_gschem
is a program to annotate (number/renumber component
REFDES) schematics from the gschem package.
-
gschem2xpcb
is a program to create a new xpcb circuit board from a gschem
schematic.with the component footprints neatly arranged outside
the board margins.
-
fix_soldermask
is a program to fix the soldermask on a PCB board drawn using xpcb.
-
GDB patches to support D-Bug12 based BDM pods
for the MC9S12DP256 and similar micros.
More documentation on some of these packages can be found in the book,
Linux Programming Unleashed, which I coauthored with Kurt Wall
and Mark Watson.
