Handsome, Thoroughbred hunter mare. Over 16 hands high, middleweight, good conformation. 10 years old, dark bay with small white star. Quiet disposition, bold willing jumper, eventer/field hunter/show hunter potential. Currently schooling training level dressage. I am posting this for my friends Troy and Susan. I personally don't know much about horses and have never ridden this horse so I can't answer questions. Our mutual friend Rachael (red9c@virginia.edu) can probably answer a few questions via email. I did help duplicate some video tapes for them so I know they have a few tapes of the horse being cleaned, ridden, etc. available for people with a serious interest.

The horse is located in the Charlottesville, Virginia vicinity; it is about 20 miles out of town near historic Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson. Charlottesville is a scenic 110 mile drive from Washington, DC and about 70 miles from Richmond, VA. Located in central virginia, it is about two or three hours drive from the neighboring states of Maryland (MD), West Virginia (WV), and North Carolina (NC). The neighboring states of Tennessee (TN) and Kentucky (KY) are about 5 hours away. If you will be driving a considerable distance, you will probably want to spend at least one night in charlottesville and enjoy some of the local sites while you are here. You can use sites such as Maps on Us and mapquest to plan your trip. Accomodations are availible for as low as $40/night, although if you want to stay in a historic bed and breakfast such as the Clifton Inn you should expect to pay $150-$300. There are many other bed and breakfasts in the area; use your favorite search enjine to find them. Travelocity has hotel listings.
