              Rogan
   In the winter of 1862-63, I removed 
with my family from Kingsport, Tennessee
to Lockhart, Texas.  On the way, we
were wrecked on the Mississippi River
by which event, I lost my family records.
I have now from recollection and such
data as I have been able to collect, made
out the record anew, and correctly, I 
believe, including the records of my 
father's and my wife's father's families.

Daniel Rogan was born 25th August 1771.
Sailed from Dublin Ireland 13th June 1791.
Landed in Baltimore 25th August 1791.
Daniel Rogan married Catherine Crawford
(born 15th May, 1779).  They were married 
in Frederick County, Maryland 1st March 
1797.

Crawford Rogan married Polly Smith,
daughter of Thomas + Lydia Smith.
Polly Smith was born in Washington County,
Virginia 9th March, 1803.  They were 
married in Washington County, Va. February
24, 1824.
