Ruf's Dad in his own handwriting copied three pages each of the
Rogan genalogy as well as the Whitis.  these we have in our files
any time you wish to refer to them.

Under Personal Papers is a deed for a lot in a cemetery in Dallas, Tex.
Funeral papers of Philip Folowell Whitis, who died April 8, 1911 at the
age of two.  Buried in Woodlawn Cemetery, Woodlawn, N.Y.

A beautifully handwritten autobiography by Ruf's Dad; dated 1938 in
Dallas, Texas

Transcript left by James Rogan at Ripley, Miss. in March 1874.  He was
the eldest son of Daniel Rogan who was the pioneer founder of the 
Rogan family in america.  Daniel was born in Ireland in 1771.  He sailed
from Dublin Jun 13, 1791 and landed in Baltimore Md..  He died in
Old Kingsport, Tenn.  in 1842.  A fascinating account of ancestors 
of whom you can be very proud.
There were nine children in the Whitis/Rogan family (Ruf's Grandparents)
and eleven in Daniel Rogan's--so it is easy to get confused.  Also
because there is C.W. whitis Sr. and Jr. - although they did not designate
them that way.

I hope I have given you enough information to keep it from being
